Short Biography

Dr. Tadas Zukas is Global Lead Senior Legal Counsel Sustainability/ESG at Vontobel in Zurich, Switzerland, and a Collaborator/Fellow at Zurich University’s Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth. Dr. Zukas is a member of Swiss Bankers Association’s Working Group on Sustainable Finance.

He holds a Ph.D. in law from the University of Lucerne, an LL.M. and an executive CAS Sustainable Finance degree from the University of Zurich. Dr. Zukas occasionally publishes and speaks on regulatory sustainable finance topics and also teaches the subject at Zurich University. His work has been featured on the pages of the New York-based »Pensions & Investments« magazine and in the Green Hub Sustainable Conversations series of the London-based global legal rankings directory »Legal 500«. 

Dr. Zukas is co-author of a deep-dive paper on the regulatory concept of greenwashing in sustainable finance under EU law (2022), author of an expert contribution on impact investing under the evolving EU regulatory framework (2023), and a paper/book on “Regulating Sustainable Finance in Europe” (Duncker & Humblot, Berlin 2023). He is one of co-authors of the upcoming SFDR Commentary (C.H. Beck, Munich 2024).
