University Teaching

The Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth, together with the Department of Banking and Finance, offers a growing range of lectures and seminars in topics of sustainable finance for Banking and Finance students at the University of Zurich.

The goal of our university teaching programming is to enable students - who often are current or future wealth owners, and often continue on to impactful careers - to become well-versed in the value and importance of sustainable finance, and in the application of its approaches and principles.

Teaching offering of the Center:

  • Microfinance
    Lecture for Master students in Banking and Finance, Management and Economics, Economics, and Business Administration at the University of Zurich.  Yearly repeated in the Fall semester.
  • Microfinance Seminar
    Research seminar for doctoral and master students in Banking and Finance, Management and Economics at the University of Zurich. Offered irregularly in the Spring semester.

Data Sources:

Through its strong and trusted relationships with data providers, wealth owners and communities, the CSP work on the basis of a unique and deep access to data in the sustainable finance and private wealth context.

In addition to ESG- and finance-related data bases that are publicly available or available through our Department’s subscriptions, the Center works with data sources made available through our partners on the basis of confidentiality agreements.

These include data from providers oekom research and RepRisk, portfolio-, survey- and interview datasets in the context of private wealth owners, their family offices and private banking advisors, as well as private equity transaction data entrusted to the Center as a neutral and independent party for data management, aggregation, analysis, and reporting purposes.
